Our Story
is woven with the narratives of our parents, Rich and Maggie Corthell, who modeled servant leadership through their Peace Corps service, foster parenting, mission trips, and extensive volunteering. Raised with the values of authenticity, curiosity, and making a positive impact, we both pursued careers in the helping professions: Kimere as a mental health and school counselor, and Katie in social services and recreational therapy.

Katie Corthell received a Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy from Indiana University. With 10 years of experience in the human services field, she has gained a valuable range of skills and knowledge while working in healthcare, housing, and mental health. She is dedicated to breaking down barriers and connecting others with resources through impactful, compassionate services, in order to help others fulfill their potential.
KIMERE Corthell
PH.D., LMHC, ACS
Kimere Corthell holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Practice from Georgia State University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Dr. Corthell has 20+ years of experience working in diverse settings with all ages. Throughout all of her professional roles, she has had one focus -- identifying barriers and helping people achieve their goals.

We are a registered, community-based non-profit 501(c)3 organization based in St. Petersburg, FL. We provide additional support and services through partnering with existing community agencies and nonprofits.
